I’m often asked what my top recommendation for parenting books are. I have a few favorites for different reasons. I hope if you are ever in need of a great resource that these recommendations will help:
Don’t Miss It: Parent every week like it counts by Reggie Joiner and Kristen Ivy
This is a very short, but fun read. I like the short, powerful statements on the left side of the book and the explanations on the right.
Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters: 10 secrets every father should know by Meg Meeker, M.D.
This is one of my favorite books for dads raising daughters.
My Crazy Imperfect Christian Family: Living out your faith with those who know you best by Glenn T. Stanton
I first read this book as a required reading for one of my psychology classes in college. This is my all-time favorite family/parenting book!
Spiritual Parenting: An awakening for today’s families by Michelle Anthony
This is a great practical book on what you can do to create healthy, spiritual environments.
Wild Things: The art of nurturing boys by Stephen James and David Thomas
One of my favorite books about parenting boys.
When Your Teenager Becomes…The Stranger in Your House by Gregory L. Jantz PhD
This is a great read, challenge for parents as their children reach the teenage stage.
Hope these help you like they’ve helped me!
