I recently received a free copy of the Read and Share Bible from Thomas Nelson. It’s a book that has been around for a couple years, but it’s still a great book. If you’re a children’s pastor or leader like myself then you’re probably being asked often by parents what kind of Bible they should get their child. I have answered that question more than I can remember.
Tommy Nelson provides a wonderful resource for parents and children’s ministry in their book Read and Share Bible. I like it for a few reasons:
• It’s super easy to read. It’s a fun book to read to young children full of fun illustrations.
• I have five kids and my younger ones who are learning to read love reading it! Therefore I love it! It’s a great teaching tool for them.
• I’m loving the questions at the end of the stories. They challenge kids in their comprehension of what they have just read.
Overall, this book is a winner! As the children’s pastor of South Hills I get to choose what books and resources we sell to families in our bookstore. In our bookstore, I recommend five Bibles. The Read and Share Bible is one of those Bibles.
